Dr. Button co-invented the Type II Diabetes Prevention Module and Hypertension Prevention Module (scheduled for release in 2018) and established the company. While Dr. Button has owned and operated two successful businesses for nearly 30 years, he is primarily known for his leadership as a University Professor. In this capacity, he established a Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP), accredited graduate program (M.S. and Ph.D.) and an accredited Imaging Physics residency at Stony Brook University. He has successfully overseen the use of ionizing radiations as the Chair of the Hospital Radiation Safety Committee and the Chair of the University Radiation Protection Committee for more than a decade. On a national level, he has chaired the American Board of Medical Physics Examination in MRI for nearly a decade. He has served as PI on several successfully funded research studies and has been an advisor to almost 70 residents, fellows, and graduate students. He was instrumental in establishing undergraduate degree programs in radiologic technology and nuclear medicine technology as well as certificate programs in CT and MRI technology at the University. Additionally, Dr. Button has been given numerous awards for excellence in education including the prestigious SUNY Chancellors Award for excellence in teaching. Since the focus of these modules is educational in nature, he is the ideal leader for product development.
The Medical expertise of the team is provided by Dr. Geronimo as she is known professionally or Christine Geronimo-Button as she is known in her daily nonprofessional life. It makes great sense that the key elements of these modules: medicine and education are provided by a husband and wife team! Dr. Geronimo co-invented both available modules. Dr. Geronimo has a personal stake in these modules. Both her parents have diabetes and she, herself, had controlled (by diet and exercise) gestational diabetes. Dr. Geronimo is a family care physician and owns her own practice in Middle Island, NY.
Ashish is the Director of Applications Engineering, and co-inventor of the Type II Diabetes Prevention Module and Hypertension Prevention Module. He has over 16 years of experience in information technology and is an expert on software development and delivery, especially in agile engineering techniques and software architecture. He is responsible for application architecture, software development and maintenance of MVC Web Applications, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Notification Hub, and Mobile Application Development for iOS and Android Devices. Ashish excels in managing geographically distributed team using Agile and Scrum methodologies.Ashish holds a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the Minot State University, USA and completed a General Management Programme from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India.
